Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

This Saturday the 10th of December will not only be a Full Moon, but we also have a Full Lunar Eclipse as well. This means there will be a LARGE amount of Magical energy this weekend.

The Full Moon is prime time for you to preform rituals for prophecy, protection, divination. Any working that needs extra power, such as help finding a new job or healing for serious conditions, can be done now. Also, love, knowledge, legal undertakings, money and dreams.

The Moon will be in the Zodiac of Gemini. That means it is a good time to preform rituals for Communication, Travel, and Public Relations.

A Recipe for: 

Moon Water Tonic

Tonic waters containing the energies of the moon embody very powerful healing benefits that bring about integral balance and wholeness throughout the body, mind and soul. Clear quartz crystal catalyzes the absorption of lunar energies as well as amplifies the healing benefits.

To Prepare Moon Water

1. Wait for a clear night, preferably on or right before the full moon. put your crystal in a clear glass and cover with one cup of purified water.

2. Check an almanac for the exact time of sundown on the day you have chosen. At sundown, place the glass out of doors in a moonlit place (cover the glass with clear plastic wrap).

3. Remove the glass at dawn. The water is now filled with lunar potency. Drink the moon water every morning to prepare your body, mind and spirit for the stress of the day.

The full moon is the time of greatest power for positive magic or enchantments. In the case of total lunar eclipses --which always involves the full moon-- it is the time of perfect union between the sun and the moon, and any type of positive magic is acceptable.

 

During a lunar eclipse, we experience what might be called a "micro month". The moon is full, then partially or completely hidden, and then visible again. Within just a few minutes, an energy similar to a complete cycle of full, waning, new/black (if it is a total lunar eclipse), waxing and full again.

In addition to this cyclical energy, we are aware of the Earth's presence. Her shadow falls across the Moon as she appears between the Moon and the Sun. This adds the unification of earth and lunar energy, reinforcing the sense of wholeness, completion and cycles of a lunar eclipse. Because both the Earth and the Moon are considered "feminine," it is a good time to focus on the Goddess aspect if you desire. 

A good example of magic to perform during a lunar eclipse would be to work on your psychic skills. As the moon wanes during the eclipse, you could focus on ridding yourself of blocks. As it waxes back to full, you could focus on increasing your psychic skills.

Also, Remember that a lunar eclipse does not have to be visible for you to work magic. It is almost impossible to see every Lunar Eclipse... unless you can travel all over the world.
